Transaction in own shares

Brightview announces that on 5 November 2007, it purchased for cancellation 125,000 of its ordinary shares at a price of 25.25 pence per share, in accordance with the authority granted to it by shareholders at its Annual General Meeting.

Following the purchase and upon cancellation of these shares, the number of ordinary shares with voting rights in issue (excluding Treasury shares) is 43,520,720 and the number of ordinary shares in Treasury is 4,536,766.
